How
do I send and receive work products?
Here
is one of the most common questions that I'm asked by my
new clients: "Okay, so we've agreed to work together,
but some of my work products contain very large files.
How do I get these to you? How do you send them back to
me?" It's a great question and the answer is actually
quite simple. While email works and so does US mail and
courier service, the preferred (and SECURE) method is
using FTP.
What is FTP?
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a method of
transferring files from one computer to another. FTP is
generally used to copy files from a personal computer to
a server, so the files can be easily accessed by others.
It is especially useful in transferring large files or
attachments too.
There are several common software programs that are
used to transfer files (depending on which operating
system your computer is running). Our personal favorite
is ACEFTP 3 Freeware.

Please call our offices to obtain your own SECURE
User ID and Password. Then, it's as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Install an FTP client (application) such as ACE
FTP 3. You may download your free copy by
clicking on the link above.

Create a connection, using the instructions that
we'll send you with your User ID and Password.

Send your files, or attach to our servers and
retrieve the files that we have waiting for you!
